With well over 500 million reviews this site is vital to businesses in the service industry. Although that importance is heightened for service related businesses in vacation destination areas or even area that receive a lot of convention or business travelers. Although this review site will impact your local clientele, it tends to be the go to review site for those that are away from home.
Tripadvisor has been around since 2000, is the largest travel site in the world and some would say they helped to spearhead user reviews. From their onset, they allowed user reviews which helped to rapidly build their credibility as well as success.
